All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This beautiful little boy was surrendered to our rescue after he was taken in by good Samaritan who took him in when his original family abandoned him and his brother when they moved out!

They could not keep him as they typically rescue and foster cats and Baron is NOT cat friendly!!  The family also has foster children who were not the best with pups!!

Baron still needs some help with potty training.  He's done fine in his foster home with a doggie door, but still needs some help learning that outside is the only place to potty!!!

This little dude is as sweet as he can be!! He gets along great with the other dogs in the foster home.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
