All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This beautiful boy was surrendered when the owner became unable to continue to provide a quality home for him.  He was severely neglected.  He had an active flea infestation, and secondary skin infection w/ hair loss.  He also suffers from an active yeast infection.

He was put on Bravecto, fully vaccinated, given a dental and a neuter.

medicated shampoos will be necessary for a while to help him heal.

This boy need FLEA prevention for life!  He has a severe reaction to fleas and must not be permitted to be infested.

update:
since receiving flea prevention and 2-3 times weekly medicated baths Bears hair has fully grown back

He loves to chase squirrels and goes for twice daily walks  

He would be a good match for a family with older children

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
