All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Bella was abandoned when her previous GREEDers umm, i mean BREEDER/OWNERS abandoned her when they moved.   Left to starve to death.  Thankfully, some caring neighbors brought her to our veterinarian where she remains under treatment.  

She has a tear production issue.  (she has none - no tears, cannot cleanse her own eyes) she is fearful, She has been over bred.  She has at least 2 mammary tumors removed during her spay surgery.

She is medically ready to be adopted.

Some mild hairloss is still present but will improve with time

Her adoption fee is $300

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
