Based in Spring, Texas, Yorkie Rescue Houston, (YRH)is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that focuses on Rescue, Rehabilitation, Vaccination, Education and Adoption.  We provide 2nd chances for homeless, injured, infirmed and abandoned small dogs.  Found animals are held 5 days to allow rightful owners to reclaim.  They are then released to adoption.  Dogs come into our program by owner surrenders, shelter pulls, and good Samaritans.  All incoming animals are given vaccinations, microchipped, Spay/neutered, and medicated as necessary.  Our goal is these pets find their forever home and never end up back in the system.   

YRH raises funds to offset the expenses of tending to the smallest citizens in need in our community. including dogs being cared for in the foster homes of our rescue families.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
