Application for Adoption
Yorkie Rescue Houston (YRH) is pleased that you have decided to Adopt a homeless pet. Every animal adopted from YRH must be spayed or neutered as required by Texas State Law. To be considered as a adoptive parent, you must meet and abide by the following:

Be at least 21 years or older.

Be local to the Houston Metro area OR BE WILLING TO COME HERE to personally transport your pet home. We DO NOT SHIP

Have identification showing your present address.

Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household.
- If you are a CURRENT pet owner, you must have a CONSISTENT, POSITIVE vetting history. Vaccinations, heartworm prevention, flea/tick control. If you do NOT vaccinate or provide HW prevention, CLICK HERE.

Be able and willing to spend time and money necessary to provide for the training, medical treatment, proper care, and love of the pet.

What this animal needs MOST is time and companionship.

Understand that all pets are to be kept indoors. No dog is to be chained, tethered, or otherwise confined outside.

NO small puppies will be adopted to families with children under 5 years.

NO young dogs/puppies will be adopted to senior citizens. PLEASE READ THIS POLICY if you are 68+

If at any time you can no longer care for the animal, you agree to contact YRH regarding it's future.
Understand that YRH has the right to approve or deny
any
application. PERIOD. We do not owe you an explanation as to why another applicant was chosen over you.
Understand, that we have the right to confiscate any animal placed in your care should you in any way fail to abide by these rules, the rules of the contract, or are deemed an unfit pet parent or do anything to harm the reputation of YRH
Our minimum donation varies with each dog and is listed on each dog's profile!
If you see a DIFFERENT amount ELSEWHERE, it is superseded by the amount listed on the dogs profile!
All minimum donations are payable in CASH or electronic form via VENMO
