All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Tyler is HW positive and undergoing treatment!  He is available to go home with you under a 'Foster-to-adopt' agreement.  

Simply put, you take him home and love and care for him while we continue to pay for his medical treatments!!

All you do is get him to our veterinarian for his exams and treatments!!

Tyler will be ready for FINAL adoption in middle of December.

He is a playful happy boy, but will run given the opportunity.  He still lifts his leg so 'belly bands' are in order.

He loves to play fetch with balls /ropes/sticks.  He loves to be in your lap and give kisses.  He likes chew toys and will chase birds.  Loves being doted on and groomed.

He will snuggle with you anytime you give him a chance.  Tyler has a 'woooo' to his bark, reminding us of a basset or beagle.

Yorkie Rescue Houston is a 501(c)(3) charity as defined by the I.R.S.  All donations* are deductible within the limits set by them.  Your donations go toward medical exams, vaccinations, spay & neuter, medications, Heartworm treatment and prevention, supplies, boarding, training.  We rely  100% on donations from the public.  Please consider a becoming a sponsor or monthly donor!  You can send us donations via paypal to donate@yorkierescuehouston.org

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
