All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Dumped in an apartment complex, someone found this girl and kept her... hidden, until the apartment manager found out! then, rather than face eviction, she surrendered this little jewel to YRH.  

Immediately upon intake, she was taken to the vet where it was discovered this girl had a RAGING Bladder infection!!  Bloody urine soaked her crate bedding.  Labs and radiographs revealed an enormous bladder stone!  Quickly into surgery, to remove this monstrosity that was making our girl miserable!  She requires special food to avoid the build up of crystals in her urine, and her adopter should be prepared for this added caution!! as well as multiple potty breaks throughout the day!

the beautify girl is now ready for her loving forever home where she can be your princess.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
