All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Buffy was pulled from Harris County Animal Shelter, and she is a little love! She is just the sweetest little dog. Buffy just wants to come up to you for gentle pets and affection. This girl loves nothing more than a cuddle on the couch, and will lay down calmly beside you while you watch TV or wind down from your day. She perfect buddy to relax quietly on the couch with. 

We believe she is a pekingese mix, due to her cute little nose.

She has received her vaccinations, is microchipped, spayed, and ready to go to her forever home!

Upon review of your application, a volunteer will contact you if there are questions. Please be as thorough as possible in the answering the questions on your adoption application. We recieve and process many applications for our dogs. Missing phone numbers, invalid addresses, or other inaccurate data will cause your application to be denied without further processing.

We usually arrange our M&G at this PetSmart.

NOTE: We do adopt out of state, but do not provide transport. We are more than happy to adopt to an out of state family, as long as you are willing to come to Houston to adopt and will transport her home.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
