All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Branch was being surrendered because the family pitbull didn't like him~!  He's a sweet little guy.  friendly, playful and happy!!

Branch was being surrendered at the Harris County animal Shelter while I was there picking up another dog, and I just couldn't NOT take him!!

So, I did!  & it's a good thing I did.  He was not being well cared for.  He was positive for Hookworms.  Quick fix.  Vaccinations, Neuter, microchip and viola!!  perfect pup!  Ready for adoption.

Well mannered, plays great with puppies, but LOVES to be with his people!!  Branch will do best in a home with playful active kids.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
