All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Binx is a loving dog once he gets to know you. He came to us very fearful, snapping and biting,  but with lots of love and attention he has grown to be a very loving caring dog. It takes time for him to warm up to new people but once he does he will be by your side. He greets you at the door with a smile and loves belly rubs.
He was surrendered with Chum and they were both heartworm positive but we got rid of those nasty worms and Binx is now heartworm free!!  He does have a history of snapping and biting so he is not suitable for a home with children. Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
