All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This sweet senior girl came to us as an owner surrender who was dealing with family issues and wanted Prissy to have a more calm and loving environment that she deserves. She is a very calm and loving dog that wants nothing more than to be in your lap and be petted. She is good with car rides, compatible with other dogs, use to using a doggie door to get her business done and wants to sleep in bed with you. She came to us with a skin condition.  She has been getting medicated baths several times a week and has improved greatly.  With special skin care her skin condition should continue to improve.  She will also need a combination of wet and dry food as she had several teeth pulled to dental decay.  Won't you give this precious girl a home??

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
