All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

According to her foster, Skye loves to play with her tennis ball and stuffed animal. She will bark at any new people that come around but after she is approached she is friendly with them. She will freely go into her crate and sleep but she loves sleeping with a person.  ❤️❤️❤️ not 100% house broken but pretty good. She will always go outside when I offer it and she responds to her name.

This beautiful girl found herself wandering the streets of Montgomery County and was arrested for vagrancy.  She served 3 days in the county jail, and we sprung her!!! Straight to the groomer and then into a loving foster home where she is being nurtured and loved until her forever family falls in love and lets us know they cannot live without her!!  And will NEVER let her get in trouble again!

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
