All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

UPDATE:

All of her puppies have been adopted and now it's her turn to find her forever home. She is sooo sweet and loving. She loves to play with balls/toys and when you sit down for the night - she will be by your side. She enjoys going on a walk and she walks great on a leash - doesn't pull or drag you around. She has been spayed and is ready for her new family. Let's get her the pampered life that she deserves.

We're guessing here at the breed.. she's a scruffy terrier mix!  came into rescue with 10 puppies!  She's a great momma... tending to her brood.  very protective, but trusts us as her caretakers to handle her puppies.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
