All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Montie has been seen by an ophthalmologist who has indicated that he does not believe that cataract surgery would not improve his vision. Montie is vision impaired so we are looking for a special family for this special needs boy.  *********************

This poor senior was found sitting in someone's driveway waiting for someone to take him inside. He's a gentle old soul that just wants to snuggle up on his blanket and rest. It appears he has cataracts bilaterally and possible had a broken paw at some point in his life. Looking for a soft place for this senior to land.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
