All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Pulled from the Pearland Animal shelter after he was found (intact) running the streets.  Held for the mandatory 'stray hold' period... We sprung this boy to freedom.  He has an old healed ulcer on his eye (we'll have that checked out) and 2 raging ear infections.  (We'll treat!)

His neuter appointment with the clinic is next week and he'll need a few days of meds to get him over his current health issues.

Apply For Darius.  We'd like an experienced owner to take this boy home.  Because of his eyes, Applicants with an IN-GROUND POOL WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

We do not know the extend of his vision or lack thereof.

This boy should be ready to go to his forever home by Aug 15 or so!

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
