All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

BOOGIE IS NOT A SENIOR (even though he is showing up in the senior group)

This little boy was surrendered by his family after 6 months of trying to find his family.

He has some cataracts, and a low grade heart murmur.  He has allergies to something but they seem to have improved since he is being fed a quality dog food. 
Probably dumped by his original family he is safe in a loving foster home.  We will make sure his next family is his 'forever' family. 
Boogie loves to go for walks. He sleeps on the bed at night. He loves to give kisses and is very affectionate

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
