All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Jasmine came into rescue in horrible condition. She was being deliberately starved as punishment for pottying in the house.  She was routinely kicked, hit, and made to eat her feces .She was thrown outside to live in the nasty hot garage.  She was severely flea infested.  She was anemic.  She had a massive mammary tumor.  She also has multiple tumors on every teat.  This precious girl suffered at the hands of evil.

She will require multiple surgeries to remove all the cancer.  She only had 2 teeth.  The others rotted out.  She is being fed nutritious food with supplements to help her recover.  She is loving and sweet.

Her capacity to love and forgive the human hand is amazing.  

Jasmine loves being with her person.  She will be a loving and devoted lap baby.  Her adopter should be prepared for a senior girl who may or may not have potty accidents in the house.  She's done great at my house.   Her crate is clean and dry every morning.  She uses a doggie door to let herself outside.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
