All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This beautiful little lady was used as a breeder.  She was over bred and probably made them a ton of money.  They gave her away to a kind neighbor who took her in and showed her some love.  Soon, the family got a bunny.  (Maybe for Easter?) and Chloe wasn't having it!  For everyone's safety, the family made the hard decision to allow us to find Chloe a home where she could be loved and not be tempted and the bunny could still have a family to love.

She has been the perfect 'little old lady' in her foster home, never once displaying any kind of aggression or attitude towards the babies in our home.

Chloe is looking for her LAST Family.  

She does not do well in a crate. Her adopter should be prepared to allow her to be allowed to free inside the home.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
