All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This boy showed up in our inbox as a plea from CAP.  He was turned in to CAP as a stray and after 7 days, no owner came forward.  We were told he had 'dental calculus' and a 3/6 heart murmur.  and was intact.  He's a wiggly boy, and loves cuddles

We ran a senior panel on him to get a better understanding of his overall health and was quite pleased when those results came back with great results.

 After a neuter and a dental, (Thursday 8/4) this boy will be ready for his happily ever after

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
