All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Mila is doing great! Her eye has healed. This girl loves to play. Perfect for family with children  or someone who can give her play time. She is a sweetheart!

This baby was found matted and wandering.  It was 103° outside.  Her eye was matted shut from severe drainage.  She was surrendered to our rescue in need of immediate medical attention.  Her mat was so bad, it caused an eye injury resulting in 2 small ulcers.  She's on antibiotics and pain meds.

We'll get her fixed up!  She's very shy.  

Vet staff reported she's a 'screamer' where her eye is concerned.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
