All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Tink is little lion BossMan! He is a real joy to be around. Tink will need a lot of your time and attention.

This baby was turned into CAP after being found running the streets.  He was intact, flea infested and had lost most of his hair.  CAP asked us if we could help him!  Absolutely!

Quick 'snip' and a few medicated baths, and he'll be looking for a home that deserves him.

He was neutered 10/2/23.

This tiny boy is not suited for a home with children under 5.  

He will not be adopted to a senior citizen.  

This little bossy boy will do best as an only dog.  Other dogs might be ok, but the dynamics must be ok for BOTH dogs.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
