All applications from 2023 have been purged. 

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Brisket's mom passed away.  The family asked us to help find him a forever home!

Sadly, Brisket's mom fed him from the table, and he gained too much weight to be healthy.

This boy needs DAILY WALKS and intake restrictions!  Brisket is not a fan of rowdy dogs, as he had never been around them until he came into rescue.

Owner indicated he is housebroke but we did see him potty inside.

Owner indicated he slept in a crate, but we found him to prefer not being crated. 

Briskets ideal home will be one with older respectful children, and a Stay-at-home parent who has the time to give this boy his walks!  He's a 'needy' boy who loves to be with his people.

Owner indicated he had allergies, but we have not seen any evidence of that.

It is unknown if Brisket gets along with cats.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
