All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Molly is estimated to be appx 4 yrs old.  She was neglected by her former 'owner' and was surrendered to the Harris County Animal Shelter when she needed medical attention due to that neglect.

Molly suffered from severe flea infestation resulting in dermatitis and secondary skin infection.  Her nails were over an inch long.  She suffered most of her life. 

Yorkie Rescue Houston IMMEDIATELY tagged this poor sweet little girl the day she was posted and brought her into rescue.  A quick trip to the vet, some meds, a clean, wholesome environment and she is well on her way to a full recovery. 

Molly needs a medical foster or foster-to-adopt while she recovers.  Molly's adopter should be prepared to keep Molly on flea prevention for the rest of her life.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
