All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This boy was found on the SW side of town.  Severe;y matted and flea infested.  Freddie has been groomed and is doing GREAT in rescue.  He is ready for his 'Happily Ever After'  Freddie loves to walk on a leash, he wants to be your special boy!  He's happy, friendly, gets along with other dogs, but would probably do better in a home without kitties.

Freddie is doggie door trained, crate trained, up to date on vaccinations, HW negative and on prevention!

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
