All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Found in late March.  Finder looked for owner.  Reached out to us for assistance.  Our super-sleuth was able to find out who owned Chopper by tracing his microchip, but all attempts to contact have failed.  Absolutely no response to ANY form of communication.  We are left with no choice but to find a loving home for Chopper.

A home who will love him and keep him safe.  Where if he ever DOES go missing again, they will care.

Chopper is  GREAT dog! Loves toys and people and gets along with other dogs beautifully. Crate trained and house trained. Does like to bark at cats though. He is a joy and such a well mannered little guy!

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
