All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This gentle soul is a loner.  He is a chill laid back little lamb who just wants a soft place to land.  He is very quiet, entertains himself and can usually be found just laying around in his doggie bed.

Buster has a compulsive instinct to chew his knee.  There is nothing wrong with it.  He just gnaw on it, buts learning to 'leave it'  He does not injure himself, but rather this seems to be a soothing activity for him.  He will potty outside if you pick up on his signals, otherwise he will life a leg in the house

He should be walked regularly to encourage more exercise otherwise he will gain weight.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
