All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

KonaRae loves to chase toys and return them to you, then she will give it a nudge to get you to throw it again. 

She will climb gates and jump higher than most yorkies, that is why I believe she is part Jack Russell.  She is a real charmer and is quick to take to any one.  I have not found anyone that she does not like.  She would do great in a home with children that enjoy playing and interacting with her.  She loves to get belly rubs and is very affectionate and very intelligent.

Kona had a massive tumor removed at the time of her spay surgery.  We are awaiting the results of the biopsy and will advise when we know more.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
