All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This owner surrender will NOT be placed in a home with children or grandchildren under the age of 15.

Maddie was abused by young children early on in life and has never forgotten it.  She was an only child most of her life.  When a new baby came, she got jealous and fearful.  Rehoming Maddie is in her best interests as well as the newborn's.

Maddie has a lipoma the size of a golf ball on her ribcage. it is a non malignant fatty tumor that causes no pain and does not need to be removed for any reason other than cosmetic.

All adoptions are facilitated via an application/approval process.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
