All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Pulled from Ft. Bend Animal shelter, this high heavy HW+ boy has been treated and is now HW NEGATIVE!!

Dino was adopted last summer and returned due to a child in the home experiencing some allergic symptoms (even though Yorkies are hypo-allerginic) they CAN cause symptoms in some hyper sensitive folks.

 Dino is a fear biter.  His new home will need to be patient and calm.  he walks well on a leash, gets along with other dogs, is a very nice little dog!!

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
