All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Biscuit, found in Jersey Village, with fear aggression.  Biscuit will bite when cornered.  (ask me how I know this!)

Biscuit has been in a foster home with a large dog, small dogs and a small child.  He has displayed no aggression since intake. 

Biscuit is an alpha male, but very playful.  He would be best in a home without other alpha dogs. He is love starved and just wants attention.

Very playful, loves to play fetch and chase toys, can be toy possessive. Loves antlers.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
