All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Jake and his companion, Callie, were given away to friends.  When they could no longer care for the dogs, they reached out for help and we agreed to take them in.  Neglected, suffering from severe flea infestation and skin infections as a result of the constant scratching, they went straight to the vet.  

Jake was too sick to vaccinate.  instead, he was sent home with meds to help him heal. He was  HW tested (negative) and put on medication to help with his skin.  Medicated shampoos and lots of TLC will bring this baby back to the healthy state he deserves.

This dog has FLEA ALLERGIES an MUST be on flea preventative.  this is NOT OPTIONAL.

Callie has been adopted.  Jake has recovered and is now looking for his happily ever after.  This dog is the perfect gentleman.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
