All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This sweet girl was pulled from Harris County Animal Shelter with minor skin irritation.  She's on meds for that!  

She is delightful. Loves to lounge around, and enjoys laying on a nice, comfy cushion or bed on the floor. She also enjoys resting beside you on the couch. She gets along with cats and dogs. No issues noted with kids, understanding she's older and will not tolerate disrepectful children. She is very laid back, with a calm nature. She is low to the ground and moves at a relaxed pace.

If you are looking for a mellow, gentle companion, she may be the perfect match for you. She would love some pets and quality time with you, and would do very well in a calm and quiet home. Just a very sweet girl who wants to spend time with her people.

Fiona is microchipped, fully vaccinated, spayed, and dewormed. She is house trained. She is ready to go to her forever home! Submit an application for her today!

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
