All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This NOW beautiful dog was originally found wandering the streets in terrible condition with bruises and had been badly injured.  It appears that she had been beaten so badly that her jaw was broken and one eye blinded. Her surgery was successful and she is fully healed and eating real food again! She's not house broken, but will use a pee pad most of the time. Sweet, not aggressive, gets along with other dogs, wants to be with or near a human. Anxious, does not like to be kenneled. She will need training and someone who will devote lots of time to her, especially at first.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
