All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Honey is an owner surrender. The owner downsized and could no longer have her. Honey is a sweet little girl that loves company. She is happy by just laying down next to you. She is a lap dog, love her toys, and very loyal. She can be vocal if she is left alone so I do not recommend an apartment for her. She is almost house trained and will be vocal until she gets situated at your place (cries while adjusting to the new environment). She is not aggressive towards other dogs unless they show aggression to her, try to eat her food or play with her preferred toy. She is absolutely not crate-friendly. However, she gives no trouble while loose. She has separation anxiety, therefore, if you try putting her in a crate, she will be vocal. Other than that she's a perfectly normal doggie, with no health issues and super friendly!

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
