All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This beautiful boy was picked up by animal control and was full of mats.  Abandoned in his golden years, it is clear this boy was once loved.  This gentle couch potato would love to snooze on the couch.

Our expert veterinarian, while extracting urine for Sampson's Senior panel discovered growths on his spleen.  So, We removed it!  Histopath did not detect any cancer!!!

Labs reveal while Sampson may have some 'out of range' levels, the are not worrisome nor is he diagnosed with a specific condition.

We want to give Sampson the home he deserves. Can you give him a loving home?  A soft couch and a gentle hand?

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
