All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This sweet girl has flourished in her foster mom's home. She now has a beautiful coat on her body - good thing since it's cold outside. She still has dark skin on her underbelly, but this is manageable so we are ready to take adoption applications on this reserved girl. It's time to get her a forever family. **********************************************************

What an adorable little girl. She was surrendered to us with major skin allergies, yeasty skin infection and flea dermatitis. Previous owner indicates that she doesn't like kids and will snap at them so she will go to a home with no children. Soon we will have her pretty as a peach!

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
