All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

UPDATE **** 9/3/2019**** Since we have been taking care of Willow she has not had any problems with diarrhea or digestive problems. She has settled into her environment very well and has not had any accidents in the house (that we are aware of). She is a gently soul who rarely barks - she just wants to be with people. ******

This adorable girl comes to us with digestive issues and bloody diarrhea. We are getting her evaluated and will have her vaccinations up to date once we determine her issues. She is a little fearful but that is to be expected. She loves attention, is a good cuddle buddy, rides well in a car, has been  playful n the past but right now she is adjusting.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
