All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This poor senior baby was left in the apartment when her mom was taken to an inpatient facility on Christmas night. It appears that the owner has not had the ability to care for her for some time. She was severely flea infested with hot spots and places where she has no hair. She is rightfully very skittish and needs someone who will provide her the love and attention that she deserves. Annie has a very bad luxating patela that was ignored long enough that surgery is not an option. Annie will need to stay on pain meds for the rest of her life. she is being adopted out " AS IS' We are looking for someone who will just love her and make her happy the way she is.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
