All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Tucker is a sweet boy with a HUGE personality.  He's still learning good manners, so will need an owner patient enough to continue training him.  He is a very smart pup and so far is learning quickly!  He's very 'treat motivated', so that helps the training process along.  His housetraining is a work in progress.  He can be very possessive of toys and food, so either being an 'only' dog or being with pets who are very laid back would likely be best for him.  Tucker is an awesome little snuggler.  Loves to be with his people!

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
