All applications from 2023 have been purged. 

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

**UPDATE**

Gabby has successfully completed her medications and her skin is now healed.  She will requires allergy shots every 4-6 weeks to keep her healthy.

The perfect home for Gabby will be an active one preferably with kids, as this lady put on a couple of extra pounds during her convalescence due to her Heartworm Treatment.

Gabby LOVES children and will do well in a home that has kids.  She needs daily walks to help her stay healthy.

Gabby has successfully been treated for Heartworms and has passed her crate rest confinement on June 18th!

She is ready for her forever home.

She is a wonderful loving little dog who gets along with other dogs and kids.

She's not crazy about kitties.. so, no cats please.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
