All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This sweet senior girl comes to us as an owner surrender. She quite literally could not be any sweeter. She is house trained and will use pee pads if she isn't taken out regularly. She doesn't need much - just wants to be with you in your lap and be love. She is leash trained and rides very well in a car.

She is a Thyroid medication.  Adopters must be prepared to continue this medication (very affordable) for the rest of her life.

Although she is 12 years old her previous owner says that she can still be playful at times. Are you her new mom or dad?

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
