All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This poor baby has given away by someone. The people who took her soon found out that she had multiple health issues.  They were not prepared to take on that level of financial responsibility so they surrendered her to us. Paris is a sweet girl who has had such bad ear infections that she has cauliflower ears. She will require medication to see if we can get the inflammation down. For now it appears that she is deaf, but we'll know more once we have her ears treated. Also she is missing most of her teeth and will need a good dental cleaning. She appears to be a very calm girl who likes to play a little then sleeps the rest of the day.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
