All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This sweet playful boy came to us after his neuter incision got infected.  He was so scared in the 'cone' he refused to move and lay in his waste.  

His infection got so bad, he required a revision surgery called a 'scrotal ablation' where the whole scrotal sac had to be removed.

He's fully healed now and ready to go to his new family.

The perfect home for this boy will have other active, playful dogs of similar size , (please, no aggressive/dominant/alpha dogs)  This sweet puppy just wants to PLAY

Children over the age of 5, and a nice yard for him to run and play in.  

This little guy is playful, happy, fun and energetic!

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
