Diva2 needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start? All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston. Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system. To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters. Our adoption fee varies by dog. We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only. Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only. A FTA contract is required.
This poor baby comes to us when she lost her dad and mom could no longer care for her anymore. She was a spoiled little girl and was given hot dogs and ice cream, so she needs a little diet to lose some weight. She is OK with kids, but they must be respectful of her space - preferably older children. She is housetrained was used to scratching on the door when she wanted out and also was getting used to a doggie door. She barks typically only when there is someone at the door. She's a little bit of an escape artist - she loves to run out the front door when you're not watching. She loves to be with her person, so she would be the perfect dog for a senior looking for company. She has arthritis and will require pain meds when the weather changes. She is a little food aggressive when any body tries to share her food. So, she should be separated when fed.
