All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Danni has over come all her skin issues, her hair has grown back, her skin has healed!  She's a happy playful bundle of energy!  she will do best in a home with other small dogs.  (NO BIG DOGS!)

She's a bossy little girl, who is kennel trained and house-broken.

She uses the doggie door.  She's very loving and likes to vocalize.

Her perfect home will be with an active family who has a couple of kids (5+ please) and at least 1 other small (under 10#) dog

This poor sweet girl was found on the streets. She is being eaten alive by fleas, so much so that the shelter gave her a blood transfusion. Her coat was almost gone due to mange. But she still has a great personality. We will update her status as she decompresses and we get to know her better.

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
