All applications from 2023 have been purged. 

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This beautiful lady was tagged and pulled from BARC animal shelter.  She's had a senior panel (labs) and is scheduled for surgery Monday, 1-4.

We will remove the tumor, she'll get a dental, and if there's time, and she's ok, we'll address her mammary tumors.   If she needs to go back later for that, we'll do that.

This precious girl is hard of hearing, but loves to be with her person, perfectly content to lie on the doggie bed nearby.

Mercy is house trained and kennel trained.

You may apply to adopt from us directly from our web site.  Please visit www.yorkierescuehouston.org/forms and submit your application.  Upon review, a volunteer will contact you if there are questions.  Please be as thorough as possible in the answering the questions.  Missing phone numbers, invalid addresses, or other inaccurate data will cause your application to be denied without further processing.

If approved, we will forward your application to the foster for review.  If the foster feels like this is a ‘good fit’, they will contact you to schedule  a 'Meet & Greet'

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
