All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This tiny boy was surrendered by his apartment dwelling owner.  His marking was becoming untenable.  Sadly, he's lived his whole life intact and producing testosterone, making him more territorial and prone to marking.  His mouth had 1 rotten tooth left in it and his jaw is very fragile.  He is now toothless and neutered.

We will help this boy find his forever home, where they are accustomed to using 'belly bands' to help little boys live a quality of life and still not ruin furniture/carpet.

His tiny tongue hangs out (because he has no teeth to help keep it in) and he's the sweetest little boy!

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
