All applications from 2023 have been purged. 

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

Coco was turned loose after the freeze and her owner didn't want her back.  She had lots of fleas and was clearly neglected.

Her finder reached out for help, and we agreed she needed us.  They dropped her off at our vet where she was vaccinated, treated for fleas, got a fecal, microchip, hw test,(NEGATIVE!!) and then, we sent her to the groomer for a good bath!

She's now spayed, and we're looking for her perfect home.

She loves kids.  She is so  is sweet.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
