All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

OOOPs litter!  These babies were surrendered to our rescue when their single parent mom knew she couldn't help raise puppies and provide for her family!  We offered to spay momma dog, and she agreed to let us!  

We know BOTH the parents of these beautiful puppies.  Mom is a Yorkie Mix, and dad is a pure-bred yorkie.

This puppy is fully vetted and ready for his forever.

His ideal home will be one with children (aged 5+ only please.  No infants, no toddlers).  Preferably with another young, small dog.  NO LARGE (over 30 pounds) DOGS.  No "outside dogs"  You must have a positive vetting history.   Your current dogs must be up-to-date on vaccines and on current heartworm prevention.

Please visit  www.yorkierescuehouston.org/forms and submit your application.  Upon review, a volunteer will contact you if there are questions.  Please be as thorough as possible in the answering the questions.  Missing phone numbers, invalid addresses, or other inaccurate data will cause your application to be denied without further processing.

If approved, we will forward your application to the foster for review.  If the foster feels like this is a ‘good fit’, they will contact you to schedule  a 'Meet & Greet'

Public Service Announcement:
Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
