All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This little boy was surrendered by his mom when she fell on hard times.  We are happy to help him.  She took excellent care of him and it shows.  He's being Neutered THURSAY (6/9/21) and can go home after that.  He is a very sweet boy.  Owner says he can be 'food aggressive' but I haven't seen that.  (we feed in kennels, not open)

He is a delightful playful, calm, loving little boy who is just as happy alone as with other dog &/or people. 

Marty's perfect home will be one with kids (older please... none under 5) and maybe another young dog to be a companion for him when the family is busy with people things.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
